1. What is Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround?
Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround is a rubber flooring system made up of a combination of different colour EPDM rubber granules, bonded with special moisture-curing urethane resins, which are then hand-trowelled on location by our own skilled and experienced tradesmen for a flat, seamless and attractive surface unique to each client.

2. Where can Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround be used?
Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround can be installed either indoors or out, on top of most surfaces making it especially suitable for new builds, pool refurbishments or in making up levels. The flexibility of Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surrounds ensures that the system will bridge most settlement and substrata cracking caused by ground movement and temperature change. If greater depths than the standard 4 - 6mm are required, other materials would be used to make up levels and keep the rubber flooring cost effective.

3. Can I install Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround myself?
Poolsafe recommends that you use our team of experienced and expert tradesmen to install this product to the high quality finish expected of this type of rubber flooring.

4. Fine Grade (FG) or Standard Grade (SG) - which product is right for me?
Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surrounds are available as either Fine Grade (FG) or Standard Grade (SG).

‘FG’ Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround is more compressed and smooth with smaller granules than ‘SG’ (our original product) resulting in a virtually nonporous rubber flooring that is almost maintenance free. Excess water flows over the surface to drains, making it more hygienic and easier to clean and therefore suitable for commercial high-traffic installations either indoors or outdoors such as schools, local authorities, hotels, holiday parks, gyms, reception areas and semi-wet areas like changing rooms etc or where a smoother finish is preferred.

‘SG’ Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround is made up of larger granules so is less compressed than ‘FG’ and porous, both vertically and horizontally. This means water dispersion is efficient and unseen, making this rubber flooring ideal for around pools where the subsurface has been laid to falls (with drainage channels or similar), either indoors or outdoors.  'SG' Grade has been specifically designed for domestic use where there is light foot traffic, for example around home spas / Jacuzzis, swimming pools, patios, corridors etc.
