1. How do I install Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll?
Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll can be laid down over any sound, hard, flat and SMOOTH surface (screeded, wooden, concrete, decking or stone) for almost non-identifiable jointing and a finish that is both comfortable and safe, withstanding constant wear and tear.

Although in some instances Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll can be laid down temporarily (see below) it ideally ought to be glued into place with a suitable adhesive. If it needs to be fixed down permanently Poolsafe strongly advises that this is done by a technically experienced installer to achieve a professional finish. Please contact the Poolsafe office for further information.

2. What are the two types of Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll available?

The two types of Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll are:

Rubbaflex ‘GP’ Rubber-on-a-Roll is 10 mm thick and is available in black or black with a coloured fleck: blue (see picture); light grey, red or green.

Rubbaflex ‘DIY’ Rubber-on-a-Roll is 4 mm and is available in nine colour mixes.

689 Marble 693 Granite 694 Sea & Sand
695 Storm 696 Surf 697 Andalucia
698 Coral Reef 699 Alpine 1000 Tuscany

3. Which Rubber-on-a-Roll product is right for me?
Rubbaflex ‘GP’ Rubber-on-a-Roll is very more dense and heavy and, weighing in at 15 kg / m², is almost indestructible! Its thickness and heavy density makes it quite hard to cut but ideal for hard-wearing surfaces such golf driving ranges (it is golf shoe spike and golf buggy resistant), as flooring under heavy gym or play equipment and on other high-traffic and hard-wearing areas like corridors and patios or semi-wet areas like changing rooms.

Ideally Rubbaflex ‘GP’ Rubber-on-a-Roll should be glued down with a suitable adhesive and, because it expands and contracts with temperature change, used indoors. However, Rubbaflex ‘GP’ Rubber-on-a-Roll can be laid down temporarily indoors or outdoors – without adhesive – for example within a golf locker room, under a child’s play house in the summer or as a creative way to make your exhibition stall stand out.

Rubbaflex ‘DIY’ Rubber-On-A-Roll is lighter, less bulky and more flexible which means that although it is easier to handle it is essential that the surface it is laid on is absolutely smooth for best results. It can be used around swimming pools, on terraces, patios and high-traffic areas such as corridors and reception areas as well as some semi-wet areas such as changing rooms - anywhere where the base surface is absolutely flat. Rubbaflex ‘DIY’ Rubber-On-A-Roll is not recommended for very heavy duty use, such as under golf shoe spikes or heavy gym equipment etc.

Rubbaflex ‘DIY’ Rubber-on-a-Roll can also be laid down temporarily either indoors our out. A classic example is over wooden decking where splinters are a problem for bare feet or small children – you can roll it out in the spring and roll it up for the winter – or as a water and slip-resistant base under a paddling pool.

4. What are the Quality and Safety Standards of Rubbaflex Rubber-On-A-Roll?
Anti-bacterial agents are included in the manufacturing process and the manufacturers of Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll meets the stringent safety standards of ISO 9001:2000.

5. How should I clean and maintain Rubbaflex Rubber-on-a-Roll?
A Care and Maintenance sheet is available from the office upon request.
