FAQ
-
What is the FG system?
The FG system is a rubber flooring system made up of a combination of different colour EPDM rubber granules, bonded with special moisture-curing urethane resins. We use fine grade EPDM granules, which create a smooth compressed surface suitable to high traffic installations. Our mix is then hand-trowelled on location by our own skilled and experienced tradesmen for a flat, seamless and attractive surface unique to each client.
-
Where can the FG system be used?
The Poolsafe FG system can be installed either indoors or out, on top of most surfaces making it suitable for both new builds and refurbishments. The flexibility of Poolsafe FG system ensures that the system will bridge most settlement and substrata cracking caused by ground movement and temperature change. If greater depths than the standard 4 - 6mm are required, other materials would be used to make up levels and keep the rubber flooring cost effective.
-
Do you offer supply only?
No, Poolsafe supply and install the FG system. We recommend that you use our team of experienced and expert tradesmen to install this product to the high quality finish expected of this type of rubber flooring.

What are the Quality and Safety Standards of a Poolsafe FG System floor?
Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround EPDM granules have been tested to comply with performance tests according to BS 7188. When installed to 4 - 6 mm, the system meets the requirements of the IAAF for slip resistance for wet surfaces and impact response. When tested to BS 5696 the Poolsafe Rubber Pool Surround complies with slip resistance, either wet or dry, and resistance to abrasive wear.
Note: We are also combining the above standards with the guidelines as recommended by The Pool Water Treatment & Advisory Group (PWTAG) that states 'Splash Pad flooring should be non slip and resistant to chemicals'.

-
Does the Poolsafe FG System Floor come with any guarantees?
The design life of the Rubber FG system should be in excess of 5 years in a Splash Pad and Poolsafe operates a policy of an initial 2 year guarantee. The first year includes labour and materials and the second year also includes labour and material, but with due consideration to fair wear and tear.
In the unlikely event of the FG system surface being damaged it is relatively straightforward to do isolated repairs or make good any building repairs or changes.
